updated to new firmware and the blurry issue has been fixed. There are some other issues though. Probably best to start a new thread but since updating to the new firmware , my touch screen has been unresponsive randomly and was completely frozen several times so I had to pull the battery out. Hopefully this is not the new firmware issue.

It's usually at around the same time that people start speculating about the next camera that the current camera has all of it's bugs squashed and a stable firmware. It's the same thing, year after year, people asking if they should get the current camera or wait for the new one. Each time our answer is the same, "If you don't mind dealing with bugs and waiting for firmware updates, wait for the new camera. If you want the best camera currently on the market with stable and proven firmware, get the current camera."
GoPro does do extensive Beta Testing of their cameras before release, but it's not until the camera is mass produced and in the hands of thousands - millions of users that many of the issues present themselves. GoPro is very proactive in fixing those issues and very soon the HERO7 cameras will be running as smooth as the stabilization on the camera.
