Good Day ALL
I just got a Hero5 Session , and tried it out over the weekend , and noticed that the video footage gets captured as chapters , someone suggested it could be a firmware update , which was updated yesterday when i connected the camera.
So today i put the camera on my desk , and switched it on using the capture app , i then disconnected teh phone from the camera , as i was walking around the building , after 25 minbutes decided to stop the filming and see if once again the video downloaded as chapters. the camera was almost too hot too handle , it hadnt shut down , but it was very very hot.
the chapters are still there , which i can live with , so the question is ?
is the overheating and chapters actually normal ????
Any Help is appreciated.
Many Thanks

@davidmorleysa - Chaptering the longer shots shouldn't have any impact on the camera's operations (or heat). It's a safety precaution that just breaks up the larger files into smaller ones so that if there is any issue with a file getting corrupted, it won't impact your entire shoot.
Heat is typically a sign that there's an issue with the SD card. What specific card are you using?

@davidmorleysa - That one should be ok. I'd recommend reaching out to our team at https://gopro.com/help/PKBContactus so we can try to figure out what's happening with your Session.

@davidmorleysa Camera is working hard, and the heat is the sign of it working , on many camera's you do not feel it as there are more space, and a larger camera.... the heat, get as hot as 128 ferenheit, while other camera's get as hot as 148 feirienheit so I feel the camera is not burning hot, to you it feels that way but it gets hot enough to say wow it's hot.
