heart rate gauge

It seems obvious that this is not important to GoPro but it could help many who need it and many will go to Garmin Virb if there is no way to accomplish this with GP.  I'm sure it could easily be solved if GP wants to.  Please allow heart rate monitoring and create a Gauge for it.  Thank you.

Re: heart rate gauge

Plenty of people already are adding heart rate data to GoPro videos https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s5v9ZCwcung . The camera itself, including Garmin, don't capture things like heart rate (they would literally need to be mounted to your body with a heart rate monitor built into the camera) but, secondary devices can capture the data, and this CAN be used in GoPro videos. There are other editing software out there https://community.gopro.com/t5/GoPro-Metadata-Visualization/GoPro-Telemetry-Resources-software/gpm-p..., but the Garmin Virb Edit is probably the easiest for this (and yes, you can use GoPro footage). Just like with a Garmin camera, you need to have a device that captures the heart rate data. If you also want to use metadata from the GoPro camera to use in Virb Edit, you can easily extract it from the video to use in the editor. Check out this GoPro member's tool here https://tailorandwayne.com/gopro-telemetry-extractor/#
You can also get more information on the program https://community.gopro.com/t5/GoPro-Metadata-Visualization/Extracting-the-metadata-in-a-useful-form...

Re: heart rate gauge

As Daniel said, you need additional tools but it's doable. Here's another cool example:
