h7 - hypersmooth in low light - commuting to home on my bicycle - 2.7K@25fps, 1/100, iso max 800

hi all,

I just want to share with you some cuts from the last evening commute to home on my MTB bicycle.

settings

2.7K 25fps, stabilisation auto, shutter 1/100, iso min 100, iso max 800

1/100 shutter for enhancing the stabilization

the result are much better than auto.
- cycling in the night 2 footages played at 2X speed
         - dark image due to the 1/100
         - you can see the remote lights sometime having a small jellyfish effect
         - but overall looks fine
- walking up the stairs played at normal speed
         - this looks good to me!

thank you,

robert

Re: h7 - hypersmooth in low light - commuting to home on my bicycle - 2.7K@25fps, 1/100, iso max 800

Hello @ruslank331

If your issue with the vibrating video is associated with motion blur effect in low light situations, this is set to be corrected by a firmware update come December. You can watch out for new information through https://gopro.com/help/articles/Block/Software-Update-Release-Information

Thanks,
Marius

Re: h7 - hypersmooth in low light - commuting to home on my bicycle - 2.7K@25fps, 1/100, iso max 800

hi all,

Smiley Wink

@ruslank331 ... this post purpose was to show how to enhance the stabilisation in low light using PT.

the fact that I limited  shutter at 1/100 (fps being 25) increased the chances video is more stable than without PT.

this is what I wanted to demonstrate here.

just because, in this test,  at iso 800 and shutter 1/100 the image is a little bit too dark, I repeated the same at 1/50, added also colour Flat

at 1/100 the jellyfish is barely seen.

I wrote other post on this also, were you can see the differences obtained using shutter at half 1/50 , fps beeing also 25fps.

the comparison PT off and PT on shows better stabilisation, that jellyfish lights are less.

have a good one!
