I just got my second Hero5 after losing my first one and noticed a crack that connects the main camera with the lens. (See photos attached). I didn't see this at all on my first Hero5. Is this normal? I saw this when I first received the camera - so it didn't happen through use and wear and tear etc.

Whats hard about understanding?
If the poster has dificulty removing the protective lens then why risk damaging the front element of the lens when it can simply be pushed back home.

If the top part of the protective lens is partially pulled out. The OP never expressed difficulty taking it off. If you pull the bottom portion out slightly and then twist, the protective lens comes off. I have this camera. To properly seat it, taking it off and then putting it back on is the easiest way.
You say that he can simply push it back on, but if it is not aligned correctly, this will damage the seating and possibly the gasket.
I'm not trying to cause issues but rather get clarification, from Fish. He has no difficulty speaking for himself.
