Have you tried holding down the front button rather than the shutter button? That's how you can reset that camera. You can try reformatting the SD card after the freeze is resolved, or try using a different SD card from the recommended list HERE. 

Any luck doing that?

The cameras are not the only thing that's frozen. Have you tried using their customer service?

I have a GoProHero 3+ Black Edition and it's just frozen. I tried everything, but nothing seems to help. Manual updates don't work. Reset doesn't work. But the camera still gets it when there is no SD card inserted since it says "no SD". Therefore, it's literally just a software issue. Any tips?

as far as the sessions 4 camera, that is a firmware issue I have 4 of these cameras and they are all unresponsive, its not the SD cards its just shoddy firmware and a bad design. the camera should be recalled IMO.

all running v 2.00 firmware. im not a dweeb im experienced with action cams these cameras are no good (sessions 4)

1st camera overheats after 5 minutes by itself and shuts down

2nd and 3rd cameras are unresponsive in menus, absolutely FRUSTRATING

4th camera experiences video corruption issues.

none ofthese cameras have ever seen water. Thoughts?
