@theaerialstudio sorry to hear about that but i would say contact customer service and try the manual update, apparently it works sometimes and the screen goes back to the natural behaviour.
However, since you bought it 1.5 years ago (>1), and if the above solution doesn't work you won't get a new camera or repair services. All you can hope for is a discount on the hero 7 cam.
