It would appear that GoPro doesn’t really care about this problem, as long as it’s not affecting their “latest and greatest”. This has been a known issue for quite some time now, with little or no feedback/input from the company.

I can’t believe it... I ever thought that the Gopro support is on the high level service. Gopro Hero 6 is just one year old model! So there is no reason why the support should be stopped??? The conectivity with other devices is one of the most important thing for editing videos and photos... I really can not believe it, that this issue will not be fixed..

Same crashing problem here. GoPro, please release a fix! I bought this camera not even a month before the 7 came out.

Were you able to try the manual update?
This usually corrects any issues encountered on the previous installation.
Once the update is completed, format the SD card through the camera's menu.
Preferences> Format SD card> Delete
Make sure to back up necessary files.
Let us know how it goes.

@aragon1006 Hi and thanks for the quick reply - my post says my Hero 6 Black is running v02.01, which is also listed as the most up to date release on the link you sent.
From what the other 30 posts in this thread have mentioned, one can deduce the solution must come in the form of a GoPro software/firmware update to address Apple's new 2018 iPad pros.
When can we expect this to be released?
