file cut and paste corrupted some of my videos[ New ]
while all attempts to launch Quik failed (it had worked up until this point and has worked since) I attempted to cut and paste my Scuba Diving videos to my HDD of my laptop running Win 10. of the 83 mixed jpg and MP4 files about half are currupted.
All the currupted files are larger than 6GB while the uncurrupted files are all normal sizes.
I've attemped software online to fix the files but nothing has worked. And of course I can not move them back to the card as the files are too large
I know I have not given enough information but please help if you can.
I'm running a Hero + LCD

Re: file cut and paste corrupted some of my videos[ New ]
Sorry to hear about what happened, @jasonm507. While we do not have any preferred method of data recovery, I suggest to reach out to the SD card manufacturer to see if there's anything they can do on their end.
You can also check this post, where users discussed how they were able to recover corrupted file in their computer: https://community.gopro.com/t5/Cameras/Recover-corrupted-file/m-p/18985#/M8933
Hopefully this helps!
