No that is a good question

GoPro Media Mod  USB port may not be tied in so the answer would be No. there is a 3.5mm port, and I guess you got a UB type C mic, they make adapters, do they not for USB type c mics?

I was having trouble getting my 3.5mm mics to work. I had an old cheap one that finally did the job but the quality is not that great and I have to hold it in my hand.
