camera vs video

[ Edited ]

Hello, if i get a "photo" from the camera, vs a screenshot on my phone, do i loose detail?

Im basically trying to capture a photo with a video, and when i print them, im not sure why i lose resolution.

if i wanted to print a picture from video, what size should i print, without loosing quality?

And what how should i process the picture (of a video) without loosing detail?

What process does the "camera" function do, that the video doesnt?

Re: camera vs video

If you shoot 4K video, and then go into your gopro app and grab a shot you'll get a excellent photo. you can also do this on an editor as well, then screen shots  using the phone.

Re: camera vs video

I had to use paint.net to show the differences  you see one is a photo the other is a grab by the gopro app.
