Wrong Time and Date on Hero 6 [ New ]

Hello,

I own a Hero 6 for about 8 weeks and now I find out, that the Time and Date changes.

There is a difference of 2-5 minutes per hour.

The firmware is actual.

What can I do?

Has anyone else such a problem?

The date and time are automatically updated when you connect your camera to the GoPro app or the Quik desktop app. However, you can manually change these settings, on the camera itself, if needed. Please note that if the battery is removed from the camera for an extended period of time, you must reset the date and time (automatically or manually).

Hi Marius,
I've changed the Time and Date manually in the camera.
The battery was charged by 83%.
After 1 hour the displayed time loses 2 minutes.
Today in the morning the clock in the camera showed 0:00 and the date was 01.01.01.
How cam I change this mysterious behaviour?

It is not supposed to reset the date/ time unless the battery has been removed for a long period of time.

Please do a manual software update. If this does not correct the issue, please contact our Support Team to get this isolated further. https://gopro.com/help/ContactUs

Hi aragon1006,

I've made a manually update. It doesn't work - the issue still remains.

I gave the Camera back to my dealer and got a new one.

The new camera works  fine.

Also the annoying flashing at switching on the Camera is gone.
