Worse photos on Hero gopro 9 than my phone camera [ New ]

Just taken my new go pro hero 9 out today for first time.  Photo's were awful!!! I'm interested to understand if the update that everyone has been talking about has already arrived?  If so, I'm guessing I have a faulty camera.

Can anyone post an example of the "Awful" images in question and give details about what SD card they are using?
