Will gopro remote work with my firmware flashed gopro hero 2018

my 2018 gopro hero has had the gopro hero 5 firmware flashed to it so its now 4k etc etc

Will a gopro remote now work with it?

Hi @mrs57158,

We don't suggest flashing the firmware since they use different hardware but you can try.

Not sure though if it will work since HERO2018 don't have remote feature.

The firmware does work its already been flashed and 4k recording is now in the menu

Its well known the hero 2018 is basically a hero 5 😏
