I wouldn’t be surprised if at first they are not eligible, but like the trade in offer, they announce it a few weeks later. They’re able to gauge interest that way and maximize profit from all the people that are willing to pay full retail. Then when sales taper off, they get another surge in sales.

50% discounts are already listed for Plus subscribers for two of the December pre-order mods, though you'll have to wait to order. You'll only see the discounts if you're logged in as a Plus subscriber, not if you aren't logged in.

That's the kind of marketing strategy I recently came across when looking for a deal on the Minelab Equinox 800 metal detector @cierrecart - but @runbei's recent post sounds promising as far as the Hero 8 mods are concerned.

Media Mod (Main Frame with microphone and connector slots) and Display Mod (flip screen) both show as 50% off. Only the Light Mod retains the same price. I suspect it will stay this way. If GoPro was trying some bait and switch, they would just mark all three 50% off.
