Why sharing to YouTube limits to 90 seconds?

I don't understand why there is a limit. Did YouTube really limit 360 video to 90s? Or is GoPro limitting for other reason.

think its the app.

i just finished uploading a 30 minutes 360 file to youtube,, but i did it with the pc it self.

I also think it's the app. But the error message is pointing to youTube limitation.
