Why does my GoPro 8 start recording automatically [ New ]

After I watch a video I just recorded and stopped using the voice command, my GoPro 8 starts recording again automatically. Is there a way to stop this?

@rwjearle, this is an unexpected behavior in the camera. It shouldn't start recording again automatically. Does it happen all the time? Do you experience the same results when you manually stop the video recording using the Shutter button?

Reinstalling the firmware update of the camera can also help correct any errors with the current software installation. Follow the Manual Update instructions specified in this article: https://community.gopro.com/t5/en/How-to-Update-GoPro-Cameras/ta-p/394229 

Additionally, performing a factory reset in the camera can also help.

Thanks for your response. It *had* been happening all the time, but when we went to take a video of the problem, it stopped doing it after recording most of the time, but it now happens after playback on the GoPro. I was going to attach a video of it happening that I took on my iPhone, but the system here wouldn't let me. I'll reinstall the firmware and let you know what happens.
