Re: Why Samsung S8+ SM-G955F don't have support?
[ New ]Hello @daimen,
Good question. I gather you are referring to Fusion-supported devices. The unit S8+ (SM-G955F) may have region and carrier specific system on its chip that is making it not compatible with Fusion yet. Eventually though, more devices will become supported as we continue to improve and develop the camera firmware. We will surely post about it when it happens.
Best regards,
Marius

Re: Why Samsung S8+ SM-G955F don't have support?
[ New ]So you know, Daimen, GoPro has given the "we are working on it" and "eventually more phones will be supported" line for going on six months now. They released a product with packaging that boasts android support and documentation inside the box that touts Android support. Neither include "on select android devices."
They also love to say it is Android's fault. Or the phone manufacturer for adding their own "skin" on top of android. It's everyones fault but their own. Meanwhile you can get a Garmin Virb, Ricoh Theta.... etc.... and have pretty reasonable compatibility. But sure. It's android's fault. All GoPro's competitors must just be using witch doctor black magic to get their devices to live up to that android sticker on the package.
They released an incomplete product with poor support and then started pointing fingers. I wouldn't hold my breath on any update. They already got your money.
And GoPro can't understand why their share prices keep dropping.

Re: Why Samsung S8+ SM-G955F don't have support?
[ New ]Yeah, I have the same problem as you Daimen. I bought Gopro Fusion as I saw that it was compatible with Samsung Galaxy S8+ but unfortunately when I tried to connect them i had a sad surprise! SM-G955F is not compatible with Fusion. I'm very disappointed!
I hope they have a feasible and quick solution (soon enough) for this and not just a blablabla

Re: Why Samsung S8+ SM-G955F don't have support?
[ New ]I, too, had the same problem with the Samsung S8+ SM-G955F. I now have the SM-G965F, the S9+ and I'm not expecting this to be supported any time soon. After all, the Samsung S8+ SM-G955F has been out for over a year and it is still not supported.

Re: Why Samsung S8+ SM-G955F don't have support?
[ New ]Thats so wierd that you can still get connect and see everthing if you do the trick with WiFi and GoPro 6/5 in menu.
At least you can see what you filming and change some options, but you cant save or share pictures/ videos.
This is definetly GoPro fault as they can't even support the best new devices in few months.
Or Apple paid them a lot to not do that.
I'm so disapointed about how they treat us!!!
Fail GoPro!

Re: Why Samsung S8+ SM-G955F don't have support?
[ New ]No success, no support from GoPro so far on this thread.
I'm not expecting any fixes any time soon, so just using it "blindly" and editing later.
Still an awesome camera with great image quality, just a pity Android doesn't work.
As a workaround, I'm going to use my daughters iPhone 8 plus until they fix it.
