When i connect my gopro hero 7 black via a hdmi cable to my 4k TV. Will my TV actually display 4k? Or is the output of the gopro hero 7 black limited to a lower resolution during playback on a 4k TV via a hdmi cable?
Good question, @stoutpike26340. The HERO7 Black supports playback of up to 4K from recorded media on a 4K TV through a micro HDMI cable. When the camera is idle, it can display preview up to 1080p, and up to 720p when recording. There is more information on 4K TV and camera here . Hope this helps.
Thanks. So i understand it actually does playback in 4k through a hdmi cable. If the cable supports 4k as well, because not all hdmi cables do. Is this correct?
