Today the camera came up with SD Error. I turned it off & back on. It worked.
I have lots of footage on the camera but it is not importing & it says there are no photos to import!
HELP please... I am working on a project & really need to get the footage.
I am in a remote community and have no access to any shops.

So, I'm like 339kms away from any stores and I don't have a USB/SD adaptor. I am hoping if I open the camera tomorrow it will miraculously download everything and then I can reformat the SD card and hopefully that will fix it.
I really want to save all the footage but I guess in the worst case scenario I would have to just reformat the SD card & hope it fixes the problem or you don't think it will??

With the camera off, plug it into the computer and wait until it starts charging (red light on)
Open Quik on the computer
Turn the camera on
If no media is recognized, turn the camera off and then back on
If still no media is recognized, unplug the USB, wait about 10 seconds and then plug it back in.
If still no media, unplug, wait a few seconds and then plug into another USB port.
When the camera is on, not plugged into the computer, what does the front LCD say? Is it showing that there are files?
What SD card are you using?
If you need to use the camera and run out of ways to try and get the media off of the card, then yes, formatting the card is the best way to get the card back into working order. If there is an error on the card; however, only a full format in a computer will fix it. The camera will just clear the card directory.
Best of luck!

Thanks for your advice I tried everything but in the end I couldn't get it to work.
So I reformatted the SD in the camera cause I I don't have a card reader to do it in the computer.
And I shot a video & it downloaded.
I went out and used it but Boo... it started being painful again... SD card error & once again the video footage unable to download.
Luckily we found another camera here I can use... it's not GoPro so can't really let the kids use it but at least I can get footage of them & make some little videos for them.
Guess I will need to buy a new SD card? It wouldn't be a fault with the Go Pro right? Just the SD card.
Again thanks for your help... just a pity I'm 4hrs away from shops & don't have a car.
