When I hit the pause button it shuts the camera off [ New ]

I have a hero 8 and when I try to pause the video it shuts the camera off. As soon as you turn the camera in its recording

Hi @livelypike63862,

Looks like you're using quick capture. 

Please make sure to turn on your camera using mode button before recording. 

Mode button is the small button on the left side of your camera. 

You should use that to turn on and turn off your camera. 

Go to photo mode if you want to take a picture.

Video mode to record a video. 

There are also other mode that you can try like timewarp and timelapse.
