What all do I need? softball tourney user [ New ]

My old Hero 3 black went off to college last fall with my oldest daughter.   She was in charge of all aspects of recording my younger daughters softball tournaments, practices ect.  Now it's up to me to gear up and learn to use the camera.  I'll jumping back in with a 7 black.   For the difference in price between that and a 6 black might as well get the latest and greatest.

My question is what else should I gear up on?

She plays 5-10 games a weekend, each game is 75 minutes.  She catches about half of the innings and I'd record when she's at bat.

I am assuming one or more SD cards and an extra battery or two, or a USB power block?

Extra battery for sure. Having two 64GB SD cards is also a good idea. You won't fill one card on one battery, but if you switch out both the battery and SD card about halfway through the game, you should be good. Having an external power pack is also smart to have, especially if the game is running long or going into extra innings.
