Warranty

Hi!

So I have family in China and they want to buy me a gopro for Christmas. If they do, they will be buying it over there and bringing it when they come here. Now I'm a little scared, because firstly, what about fakes? But mostly, what if it turns out to be not working properly? Can I get gopro support if it hasn't been bought from the online store? Can I get a new one directly because it is impossible to get it back tot he store in China.

Your camera (as long as it is in fact genuine GoPro) will be covered under warranty. You will not qualify for the GoPro 30-day money back guarantee unless the camera is purchased from the GoPro web site.

Your camera (as long as it is in fact genuine GoPro) will be covered under warranty. You will not qualify for the GoPro 30-day money back guarantee unless the camera is purchased from the GoPro web site.

So if I understand it correctly, if something isn't functioning as it should and it is not my fault, like the battery being stuck as I've seen before, then they will replace it?

Yes. You will need to show proof of purchase, but the camera will be warrantied for replacement.
