Wake on whistle

[ New ]

My Hero 7 Black keeps waking up when I whistle a particular note. I'm not going to stop whistling, so how do I stop the GoPro from responding?

Hi @malangali

Try running a manual update.

  1. Go to the Update page and choose your HERO7 camera.
  2. Under "Other ways to update" at the base of the page, click "Update your camera manually."
  3. Enter your Serial Number and other requested information, click Next Step.
  4. Click "Download Update."
  5. Click "Click here to download firmware."
  6. Follow the steps on the screen for detailed instructions for your operating system

Once done, do a Factory Reset on the camera. Preferences > Reset > Factory Reset > Confirm Reset

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks!

Ej

Turning off voice commands should work.

I use voice commands all the time, so turning it off is a no for me.

I do find that certain words, rather than a phrase will have an action.

Today the word earring stoped camera recording.

A bit anyoying but just need to listen carefully to the beeps.
