Vidoe's play on gopro but not on osx (VLC & Quicktime)

Hello,

I made a few surfing video's this morning and tried to view them on OSX (Mojave).

The videos do play on the gopro but after importing them using Quick or using a sd card adapter directly

i can't get them to play...

Any idea how i should do this ?

Kind regards,

Maarten

Re: Vidoe's play on gopro but not on osx (VLC & Quicktime)

Does Mojave support HEVC? If not, that would be the problem. Try converting to h.264 using handbrake. Once done, the files should play fine.

You can learn more here

Re: Vidoe's play on gopro but not on osx (VLC & Quicktime)

I just realized you have HERO7 Silver.

It might not be HEVC (I think it's only in 4:3 4K/30 for your camera...if at all) but converting the files might still help.

Maybe someone else will have some advice that will better assist (I don't use MAC). You can also try GoPro Support and they can do some trouble shooting with you. https://gopro.com/help/ContactUs
