I want to know if my Gopro hero 7 black is faulty, please do same test on your Gopro to see if its a general issue/or non-issue.
I've noticed that all video clips are more grainy the very first second of the video clip. It is more noticable in low light.
Do the test by increasing the iso to 6400 in low light. Record and watch the clip. The first second of the clip should be more grainy then the rest of the clip. So from 00:00:00 to 00:00:01 is grainy and from 00:00:02 - rest of the clip, less grainy.
What I've already done:
Reset to factory default

I think it's normal since it's on 6400.
The camera has small sensor and not good for low light with high ISO.
Thanks for letting us know.
We'll forward that to our team if it's something can be enhanced by firmware update or it' really a hardware limitation.

I tried as well and I have the same.
But have you tried exposing the camera to the light first before pressing the shutter button?
I really have grainy footage in 6400 but not really noticeable in good lighting environment.
