Upgraded firmware hero 4 time lapse hangs at 27 pics [ New ]

I searched the site found a few things to try. they dont work

after upgrade to firmware ver 5

timelaspe hangs at 27 pics. says sd error

down graded firmware to ver 2 works again and then reinstall ver 5 no good.

I have put in new card makes no differance. formatted also

tried ver 3 firmware dont work.

I have done hunreds of timelapse's with hundred of pictures no problem on Ver 2 firmware

any body got any Ideas?

Either your SD card is not a recommended SD card or the SD card is corrupted. 

Please check if your SD card is listed as recommended SD card brand and model: https://gopro.com/help/articles/block/microSD-Card-Considerations

If your camera is on the list please reinstall the firmware of your camera manually: https://gopro.com/help/articles/block/How-to-Update-GoPro-Cameras

I have tried 3 micro sd cards all approved

I have installed the firmware manually.   does not work

I have reverted back to ver 2 again and all works just fine.

I have install ver 2 the tried to upgrade firmware to latest manually and still not working.

only works with firmware ver.2

and yes I have contacted support no help yet, 3-4 days they said till I get an answer

Not sure why its happening. 

Let's just wait for customer support's response. 

By the way they might not send an email update. 

It would be best to follow up instead.

glad to see support was such great help, said it was the crads. well order another approved card and tried again same problem. another waste of money and no help.

any other ideas out there

at the start I only set the firm ware back to v 2,    I did some more digging around the net for ver 1 and found it.

set the camera back to ver 1 and upgraded to ver 5   and it works now.

sure glad gopro told me my card was bad and I wasted more money on a another approved card.
