Unable to go through the menu on my brand new Hero 5 session

When switching on my new Hero5 session, the camera shows "BUSY" on the display and 1 second after turns off automatically without beeing able to go trhough the various menu. I have updated it with latest firmware and still same issue.

I press the back button  it lights up the camera, I do not let it wait if I do it shuts off.   are you waiting more then 4 secods, sounds like it.

Thanks for the prompt feedback... however, as soon as I press the ON button and try to navigate through the Menu, the screen freezes on the second or third option and even if I try to press the shutter button, nothing works. Then the camera bips 3-4 times and switches off by itself. This is very disapointing from a brand new, out of the box camera Smiley Sad !

tried with no sd card correct.

Yes, I tried both: with sd card and also without sd card. Same problem !

got your  reciept taken an  hour , return get a new cam. not hard to do if asked.

Well... easier said than done. This was a gift from a friend in the US and I am in France ! Please see short video (https://youtu.be/7VFvyxwuAzg) to show you exactly what is happening. Hope this could be fixed via firmware ???
