Two Questions:1: QuickCapture, 2: Depth of Field (7 Black)

One - I'm trying to figure out how to use QuickCaptiure. If the camera is off and I hit the shutter button the camera turns on and starts taking a video. If I press the shutter again, I get two different results:

  1. The camera turns off, or
  2. The camera stays on, but seems to be frozen until I press the power button for about ten seconds

Which is the correct behavior?

Two - I have a Backscatter +10 closeup lens that I bought for my old GoPro 3. With the 3 the optimal focal distance with the +10 lens was about 25cm. With the 7 it seems to be only about 10cm. Is this expected behavior?

What is the depth of field of the 7?

Hi @ratsima

This article might help you.

By the way regarding delay you might enabled timer for your camera.

Before it take a photo it will count for 10 seconds.

Or you enabled HDR, it will have a slight delay before it respond again.

OK. Thanks. So, it's supposed to turn off after the second shutter press. But, it often doesn't. How do I fix that?

I have tried reinstalling the latest software update, but that didn't seem to help.

Hi @ratsima,

That's weird.

I would suggest to reset the camera to factory settings.

Or try to contact customer support team via phone or chat.
