I'll be travelling to Europe in a few months, using my Hero Black 7 to record from 30 mins to 60 mins of footage a day.
If I don't want to spend hours waiting for the footage to upload to the Cloud, do I necessarily need to take a Laptop with me?
I'm trying to work out the best way to travel lightly and still get great use out of the GoPro.
Thanks in advance for your help.

If you don't want to bring a laptop and don't want to upload to the cloud, your next best option is to buy several memory cards and a wallet holder for them. That way you can record all the footage you want but keep it in one handy place. Or you could bring a USB hard drive and see if there's any cyber cafe's that will help you copy the footage from the camera to your hard drive ( althouth some may be vary weary of letting people plug in their own USB devices).

I have the same dilemma, travelling with a laptop is a pain in the back end. My solution is, spend $500 on 128 or 256gb sd cards and carry a bucket load of them.
I carried a laptop on a UK trip and it was a pain to lug around.

Your GoPro connects to your phone and your phone is capable of connecting to the hotel WiFi. All you have to do is download the footage from your camera to your phone and then upload it to whereever you cant via the hotel WiFi.
