Travel to Indonesia: which resolution and fps?
[ New ]Hi guys! Need some resolution and fps advice ...
I will be traveling to Indonesia soon. With me, I will be bringing my GoPro Hero 5 (maybe Hero 6) and some accessories, including a dome for underwater filming. What I have never fully understood, is when to use the differnet resolutions and fps settings, and which one is the best. So I´d really appreciate some advice on which resolution and fps that works best with filming...
- Underwater (snorkeling)
- Wild nature ("jungle", landscape etc.)
- While on a boat
- Walking in the busy streets
Thank you in advance!

Re: Travel to Indonesia: which resolution and fps?
[ New ]@annasteinmoen Correct 1080p is a simple res for YouTube and Facebook.
2.7K is in the middle, and 4K is the highest res the camera can capture.
But before you capture in 4K you'll need to see if your SD card can handle it,
and you have the correct editing system to do so also.

Re: Travel to Indonesia: which resolution and fps?
[ New ]Hi @annasteinmoen!
First off, have fun on your trip.
And second if you're not filming at night I'd say 1080p 60fps
just the perfect and simple setting for many situation.
If you plan filming at night make sure to enable low-light.
But if you're into the most power out of your camera, go for
4K @60fps and that would be perfect.

Re: Travel to Indonesia: which resolution and fps?
[ New ]Thank you for advice.
If i use 60fps, what is the difference between using 4K or 1080p? Wouldn´t 4K give a sharper look and better quality?
