Tradeup camera sent stuck and UPS says its related to garnishment!

I sent my digital camera for the tradeup program on July, 27 after noticed the camera was not delivered I mailed UPS to know why it was taking so long and I got this answer:

 

"Please be advised that according to the information in system, this order is held due to pledges.

They should call their local tax office and give the company nif and will provide the necessary data, debt values and why they have been activated."

Anyone else got this problem?

 

My old camera is retained since August first day, meaning the expected new one for the vacations will not be here in time!

 

And who the hell is having problem with finances? The company that manage the delivery, the company that receive the cameras?

 

Need to find a solution for this!

Actually the issue is being caused by neither the delivery company nor GoPro, but by your very own government!  They are claiming that there are taxes due on the item which have not being paid, before you can receive the package, the taxes must be paid.  This usually happens on postage items that exceed a certain value.  I would suggest you contact GoPro customer support directly and work to find out if the tax was properly paid or if the recipiet (you) was due to pay taxes upon arrival in your country.

The package it is on the delivery country for the GoPro tradeup not on my country, I am sending my old camera not receiving anything.

 

Also im sending / receiving inside EU zone that means the only tax that can be applyed are vat rates, wich cant be applyed on this matter.

Also sent an email to customerservice@gopro.com, the chat on the support page dont return anything also no luck with the phone.

I got now a second email from UPS telling they will not discuss anything else with me about this package, only the sender company can check any problem with it.

I believe that when you try to contact GoPro by chat or by phone, you can try selecting "english" as the language and that will get you through.

UPS information given was totally wrong.

 

The camera I sent is missing, they don't know what happened after it was received in Eindhoven.

 

I lost the sell I add for my onld one, and now will be out for vacations without the camera.

 

Bad UPS service...

Sorry to hear you're having such a bad experience with UPS.  Have you tried contacting their customer service for more details, or emailing them for a resolution?  You may be able to launch a claim as a result of this.
