The screen is on, just the touchscreen isn't working, I can't "touch" or open any settings or preferences on the gopro. Only the "mode" button is working.
I did the ulpdate via Quick app and then again manually, but both updates didn't change anything.
It was working fine a couple days ago, today I wanted to use it, and tried to change a few settings and noticed the touchsreen doesn't respond. (very frustrating)
Any other suggestions or advice? Otherwise, any place in northern brazil where I can get a replacement?

I am sorry to hear about the situation.
Have you checked if the screen is just locked?
Make sure that the SD card is not inserted between the SD slot and the battery as this can put pressure on the back of the touch display.
I also suggest running a manual update. This is just to clear out any issues that may have been encountered with the previous installation.
