Hello @graycreek51468,
Do you mean that the time lapse file is divided into folders even if you only recorded one time lapse? This maybe due to chaptering. Chaptering segments a new file chapter once a certain file size is reached. These files then can play as one continuation when played in the camera, and when put together with editing software. You can read more information about chaptering here: https://gopro.com/help/articles/question_answer/GoPro-Camera-File-Chaptering-Information
Feel free to post back if your issue is not related to this. We will be happy to help further.
Thanks,
Marius

You got it right, @graycreek51468. You can stitch the two folders through the editing software. Make sure though that you have the folders in the correct order. You can refer to this article on file naming convention to ensure that you have the correct sequence. Please keep us posted on your results. Thanks!

There is a certain sequence for the time lapse files as shown in this article: https://gopro.com/help/articles/question_answer/GoPro-Camera-File-Naming-Convention
Depending on the computer that you are using, you can use iMovie for MAc, or VSDC for Windows. You can also explore other free editing apps online. Some members here recommend Da Vinci Resolve, or Adobe Premiere Pro.
