Strange behavior with batteries

[ New ]
I have noticed when I switch to some of my other go pro batteries some of the batteries for some reason cause the camera to boot back up after 15 seconds every time you hold mode to turn camera off it will stay off for 15 seconds then lights flash and screen then comes back on and sometimes it's only fixable by changing the fully charged battery to another battery sometimes it goes away on its own without changing the battery not sure if it's a battery issue or a software issue

It could be an issue with the battery or possibly a setting in the app or camera.

Have you connected your camera to the GoPro app? If so, open the app and go into settings and then turn off the setting to automatically look for and download media.

Is your camera set to auto upload to the GoPro Plus Cloud? You can go into your preferences and turn off auto upload.

If neither of the above are the case, then it might be the battery. Contact the GoPro Support Team and they can help you get it sorted out.

Before you do, be sure you have done the following:
Use a recommended SD card from this list
https://gopro.com/help/articles/block/microSD-Card-Considerations
Format the card in your computer (Full not Quick)
Download and install the Manual Update
https://gopro.com/update/hero6
Go into preferences and reset the camera to Factory Default
https://gopro.com/help/articles/how_to/How-to-Reset-the-Camera-to-Default-Settings
Format the card in the camera

Test that this did not fix the issue.

Thanks @antoniocm1983,

Try to turn off your Camera's Wireless Connection.
I think your camera connects to the phone automatically.

If it is still turning on even you're away from phone please contact GoPro Customer Support.

They can help.

Why would the wifi do that I'm not using it on my phone and none of the go pro apps are open when it happens so would the wifi really be apart of the problem?

Hi @antoniocm1983,

If you're not using it on your phone then I would suggest to get in touch with a GoPro Support Rep.

But you can just try to turn it off. Other users are reporting same problem and it was resolved by turning off the Wi-Fi before switching off the camera.

quick capture:   Does it happen wit h that? press once, cam turns on starts recording, when you are  ending you press again.  does the camera take about 30 seconds tops to shout down and does it pop back on. or stays OFF>

in Mode On  are you certain you  press the camera is  giving hte shut down beeps and off it goes.  you can LONG PRESS 12 seconds that is a force off. I try that for a few tries.

factory reset may not clear  the issue but will reset your camera.

FIrmware will update and fix userability  bugs and issues.  Have you done a firmware update.and or reflash?

I have done a firmware update and the only button I hold to turn it off is the mode button I normally hold it for about 7 to 12 seconds I see the rapid beeps then it shuts down I know it is shutting down because the touch screen when pressed afterwords dosent turn screen back on then I set camera down and I see the flashing lights again then screens turn on it's weird because it dosent always do it and I dont know whether it has anything to do with the batteries or it just happened to solve itself before I change the battery packs i do know that its random last day and a half i have owned the camera it's done it maybe 7 times total in a 48 hour period it's not like it's all the time
