Smart Remote Control Not Turning On Unless It Is Being Charged

I’m having problems with my smart remote control. I’ve been charging it for almost 24hrs now and it’s still on charging mode. Now, when I disconnect the remote control to the charger and tried turning it on, it won’t turn on. But when I tried charging it then turning it on, the remote control turns on. I’ve been charging it for a long time now and it seems like I can only use the remote while it’s charging otherwise it will not turn on if not being charged.

Please help.

@siouxsie - Try resetting the Smart Remote. Press and hold the Power/Mode button on the remote for about 8 to 10 seconds. The remote will power off and can then be powered back on if that's what you want to do.

Hi Jeff! I’ve already contacted your chat support last week and they already concluded that the battery is busted. I asked them if they can change it but they said they can’t since the battery is built it. They also can’t replace my smart remote since it’s already out of warranty. It is very unfortunate that you GoPro has no means of replacing busted batteries especially if the remote itself is working properly and the only

problem we’re experiencing is with the battery itself only.
