Session 5 tv connect
[ New ]Hi sorry if I sound a bit behind times, but I want to view my footage in 4K on my tv but can't get my head round how to do it, camera won't connect via USB to view any videos, so I've tried sb card via reader and says not compatible, as I stand I can only view via iPad and phone, I have sent for USB.3.1 reader to try, any ideas please
best regards

Re: Session 5 tv connect
[ New ]Hello @hardytree22584,
Thank you for reaching out. The camera will not be able to display media/video using a USB cable. Even for cameras that allow direct TV playback like the HERO5 and HERO6 Black cameras, a micro-HDMI cable is necessary. If you are able to view and save your footage through a computer first, try saving the files to a USB drive (for example) and plug the drive to the TV and see if the footage get displayed.
You can use Quik for desktop to import your footage from the camera to a computer, or do it manually via SD card adapter. Let us know how it goes.
Thanks,
Marius

Re: Session 5 tv connect
[ New ]Appreciate you posting back fro results, @hardytree22584
What did you get on the screen instead of the media? Have you been able to try with a video of different resolution? This way, we will be able to further isolate if the source of trouble is the manner by which the media is shared to the TV, or the media file itself, or whether or youor device is really capable of displaying 4K content.
Also check if your media file is recorded in either NTSC (which is the default) or PAL. (see p.57 of manual), and if the aspect ratio setting will set any difference (see p.34 of manual).
Thanks,
Marius
