My session 5 was working fine previously but currently not connet to my phone app.
Camera side connects to phone app("Connected" message shows up), On Phone side I can see blue wifi icon but doesn't connect to camera.
Here is the lise I have tried to fix the issue
-Updated phone app to the latest version 5.2.2
-Reset wifi and Bluetooth(Removed device from the list)
-Factory reset done
-Manual update done (v02.51)
-Tried with different phone
-Gopro camera not showing on wifi list
So I am thinking the camera is connected with Bluetooth but not with wifi?
Also when I select to connect to new device it conncts automatically and doesn't ask for password.
Is this normal?
I have also search the camera wifi network with my laptop but not visible.

How did it go with a different phone?
With the last update, the app no longer requires you to enter the password when pairing.
If you are using an Android phone, try to clear the app's cache. NO need to clear data.
Once done, try pairing it again.

Thanks Ej for the comment.
Both my phones are androids.
I have cleared cache but still not connecting.
I have tried to connect New device without Bluetooth on, just wifi. and response was Can't find your GoPro.
So I'm guessing Bluetooth works but wifi isn't working.
I tried to find SSID with other devices but not appearing.
No wifi signal?

Thanks for testing @tomocat
I have worked with a similar case previously an it was resolved by a manual update.
You may want to give it another try. Or you can reach out to our Support Team to proceed with the next steps.

So I turned Bluetooth off and now a message popped up and apparently My Gopro's wifi band is set to 5GHz but my phone(Samsung Galaxy A5) doesn't support it. Also there's a direction to change the wifi range on camera but I don't think Hero5 session supports such a thing.
Preferences> Connections >Wi-Fi Band. 2.4GHz.

That is correct, @tomocat. The HERO5 Session's built-in Wi-Fi frequency is 5GHz and 2.4GHz, b/g/n dual band but with no specific prioritization. It also does not have the functionality of choosing or setting the Wi-Fi band. Have you tried manually putting the camera's Wi-Fi information on your Android phone's Wi-Fi settings?
After such a step, you can go back to the GoPro App and push through with pairing through the app. Let us know what you find out.

I had a chat with GoPro customer service personnels.
The first operator hung me up after over 1hr of conversation, I think he pretty much lost confidnece to give me a solution.
Then I had to go through the same thing with the sencond person again! though he thinks wifi on the camera has a issue.
I asked him what repair need to be done for it but answer was that Gopro doesn't repair cameras just replace.
I don't remember when I purchased my session 5 but pretty sure that was over a year ago and paid by cash. and of course I don't have the receipt anymore.
Why did you guys stop making sessions?
the worst thing ever happened.
