Seral number for GO PRO 3+ Silver is invalid

Tried to regester my Hero 3+ Silver and it says the serial number is invalid what do I do? I selected Hero3+ silver in the drop down before I entered the number, Letters 3 +3 Numbers and 8 (second row) tried all combinations.

Thank you for reaching out. Try this: 

  1. Visit this page: https://gopro.com/update
  2. Select the HERO3+ (with  camera picture)
  3. Select "Update your camera manually"
  4. Put in the necessary information. 

To ensure that you are on the correct page, the picture on the left should show the same camera as yours. Right below the picture is a sample serial number. If you have a HERO3+ Silver camera, its serial number should start with H3S+...

  1. Visit this page: https://gopro.com/update
  2. Select the HERO3+ (with  camera picture)
  3. Select "Update your camera manually"
  4. Put in the necessary information. 

To ensure that you are on the correct page, the picture on the left should show the same camera as yours. Right below the picture is a sample serial number. If you have a HERO3+ Silver camera, its serial number should start with H3S+...
