Had my Gopro Session 5 for a few weeks and I'm having major issues with watching any of the videos recorded.
Everytime I download them onto the computer they wont play properly, usually green picture with sound. This happens no matter what rate I am using (4k, 2.7k, 1080)
I have changed sd cards and have bought a Sandisk extreme 64gb from a reputable shop but I'm having the same issues.
I'm running an i7, 16GB RAM, Win 7 64 bit so the computer is fast enough to cope.
Any help before I take it back.

How do you playback the videos that you have recorded? Is it through Quik for desktop? Do the videos also play the same way when using a different media player? Have you tried playing the videos back through the GoPro App? If the issue is only observed through Quik, you may have to check on the computer system requirements again. Based on the details that you provided, your computer may not be meeting the minimum system requirements as Quik is supported only in 64 bit Windows 10 in desktop mode.

Thank you for the confirmation, @agilegorge50150. If the videos play the same way even with other media players, then there might be an issue with the video file itself, unless the videos play fine through the GoPro App or another device. If possible, see if the same thing will happen using a different computer.
It will help as well to manually update your camera, even if it may already have the latest firmware. This is to ensure that any error associated with the current installation will be cleared out. You can follow the instructions below as guide:
- Go to the HERO5 Session update page.
- Under "Other ways to update" at the base of the page, click "Update your camera manually."
- Enter your Serial Number and other requested information, click Next Step.
- Click "Download Update."
- Click "Click here to download firmware."
- Follow the steps on the screen for detailed instructions for your operating system.
Make sure that your camera is fully charged and that the SD card is formatted prior to updating. Try recording sample videos after the update. Let us know how it goes.
