Sandisk Extreme Pro UHS-1 A2 U3 V30 (SDSDQX-256G-U46A)

[ New ]

I just bought a Hero 8 Black together with a new Sandisk Extreme Pro UHS-1 A2 U3 V30 (SDSDQX-256G-U46A). Its taking too long to format this on the Hero 8. If i format it on pc (ex fat), no problem, it finishes quickly but when re-inserting on the hero 8, its asking me to reformat the sd card due to sd card error. What could be the problem here

Hi @ryanennusl2

It is best to format 128GB and higher capacity cards on a computer.

Try running a full format on the card.

If it's still the same, try using another SD card.

You may also check NO SD or SD ERR on Camera's LCD

Thanks!

Ej

I already trid formatting it in the PC several times. My sd card is a Sandisk Extreme Pro 256gb, i dont see the model number on the recommended list of sd cards. even though its not on the list it should still work right? though not recommended

Hi @florent04062

What SD card are you using?

Please include the brand, type, and capacity.

Are you also using a HERO8 Black? What version is it on?

Thanks!
