I use my GoPro Hero 4 black for 2 years now with always the same SD card.
Recently, I upgrade to the FW V4 released last mouth and then, my GoPro has random SD error when I try to record some movies or photos in timelapse mode (protune on).
I tried with oher SD class 10 cards like the model attached and same problem so I really think it's the FW upgrade...
Any idea ?

Also, I just tried with a fresh new SD card (model attached) (90mb/s R - 45mb/s W (!!!)) and same problem so it is not coming from the SD card but the GoPro and the FW upgrade.
How can I downgrade ? I don't find the previous FW version...

As I did not find how to downgrade the FW, I tried to reinstall the actual one with the old fashion way https://gopro.com/support/hero4-black-product-update/hero4 and I reload my tests.
It failed "only" 1 time with the SD error. It is not perfect but it is better than before.
Any idea ?

Well, I really don't think the problem comes from my diffrents SD cards because I use it in another GoPros like the 3+ black.
Also, it works en 4k 30fps protune native mode which is the most stress mode for a SD card right ?

45mb/write should be more than enough so it does stand to reason that the card should work. However, and I don't know the reason for this, SD cards are usually the main culprit and do not always play the same in each camera. I actually once had a SD card that would work with my Hero3 Silver but would cause issues with my Hero3+ black. I now label my cards and assign them to only one camera. I also only use Samsung Pro in my Hero 3+ and Hero4 cameras and use Lexar 633X in my Hero3 and below cameras. Since doing this, I haven't had any issues.
