SD cards not working, but it did yesterday

Upgraded SD card to PNY 128gb (I know it's not on GoPro list of preferred cards but I'm deployed military with limited choices) card from SanDisk extreme 32gb.  Camera recorded with delayed responses.  When record button was pressed, there was a lag in recording.  Next day, camera will not respond with SD card.  Swapped to sandisk card which has worked for the past 6 months with no joy.  Reformatted SD card per GoPro instructions.  No joy.  Camera turns on and menu selections work with no card installed.  Inserting any SD card now disables camera.  

 

Software updated.  Thinking that's the issue, as the last time I upgraded software, the camera no longer synchronized with older iPad though it did the day before.

 

whats the next troubleshooting step without having to buy another SD card?

updated software v2.00 for hero session.  changed to SanDisk 64GB Extreme Plus SD card.  camera will not respond with a SD card installed.  it's been 2 week gopro.com....what is taking so long for a response?  

 

i can connect bluetooth to the camera when no SD card is installed.  capture app up-to-date.  need help please.
