[ New ]Hi
My SD card randomly crashed. Now I am experiencing SD card error persistently and I have not been ableto format the card.I tried using different sd cards/ formating it on my laptop. Nothing has worked so far. Anyone knows what may be the issue and how I may be able to resolve this? (I am using sandisk extreme 64gb)
All help appreciated.

Re: SD card error, unable to format Hero Black 7
[ New ]Hello @superdawn05216. Are you getting any error message when you attempt to format the card in the camera or the computer? How do you format the SD cards on your computer - full or quick? TRy again following instructions here.
If the SD cards cannot be fully formatted even on a computer, there may be an issue with the SD card itself. In this case, it would be best to get in touch with the manufacturer for further troubleshooting. Let us know how it works out.
Thanks!

Sorry guy, i kind of get confused. What do you mean you have tried using different SD cards? If you think your SD card is crashed or damaged, you can use CHKDSK.exe tool in Windows to check and fix errors, if you are not familar with that, you can switch to a professional and free SD card repair tool. Or you can use Diskpart commands to format it: click start, input cmd in the search box and press enter, run the command prompt as administrator, then input the commands in turn and press enter after each one: diskpart>list disk>select disk #>clean>create partition primary>format fs=ntfs/fat32/exfat. But your SD card is 64GB, larger than 32GB, so you cannot format it to fat32 via Windows native formatting tools, for that, you can search for a powerful third-party formatting utility. Usually, most free choices can work well.
