SD Card Error During Loop

I have a Samsung Evo 16gb sd card. Everything was working fine, up until this point(month). I was using it as a dash cam while plugged into an external battery pack (no battery in gopro). It was in loop mode, all of a sudden it stopped recording, and displays SD card error banner. This occurs around 5+min of recording in loop mode. When I turn on the camera, it would say that it is reparing file.

Does anyone know why this is happening?

Thanks

Re: SD Card Error During Loop

Are you formatting/deleting the video files before starting your loop? Each time you stop recording the video file is saved reducing the amount of space left on the SD card. The camera will not overwrite old files, only the one that has been created for the current loop. If there is not enough space on the card for one complete chapter (about 12 minutes of recording), you will get errors.

If that's not it, your card is most likely the problem. Try one of these https://gopro.com/help/articles/Block/microSD-Card-Considerations

The Evo might be working for you now, but you will end up with issues if you continue to use it.
