SD CARD ERROR Regardless of If There's a Card Inserted
[ New ]It worked until I updated the firmware yesterday. Now all I get is SD ERR and the LCD screen is completely black.

Please try re-flashing the software. https://gopro.com/en/us/update/hero5
It is also important that you are using a recommended SD card.

[ New ]Contact a gopro rep at the contactus page, yu should not lose the lcd screen unless the card was forced in or the camera crashed it?
