Removing SD card when off sometimes corrupts the card SD card error

I found when removing the SD card with power off to copy to my computer is fine But when the card is incerted it causes the hero 7 to power up for a second flashing the red record LEDs. If there is a problem it will accure when filming, SD error, it may film for several minutes before the error hapens or it may never fault. I have experiancd this with several differant SD cards. I like pulling the card out so I can easily sort and place the files where I want. If I use the usb cable from computer to Hero 7 no problems but doing it using the windows file explorer the time and date get changed to current making hard to sort later. My fix is to remove the battery then the SD card, and insert SD with the battery removed.
