Recorded videos not allowing GPS features such as speedometer or elevation to be added as stickers

Hi

I upgraded to a Hero 7 Black from a Session recently.

One of the key features that made my mind up to upgrade was being able to add speedo and elevation "stickers" to my GoPro videos.

Unfortunately, I cannot get the stickers to add on, despite having downloaded from the GoPro app and GPS working.

I've followed all of the instructions at this URL: https://community.gopro.com/t5/en/How-to-Use-Gauges-and-GPS-on-Quik-for-mobile/ta-p/390240 and it's still not working.

Please could I get some support on this - I'm feeling quite disappointed about this lack of feature.

thanks

Steve

If the mobile GoPro app does not show the speedometer it's probably because there were interruptions in the GPS signal. Also, make sure you are using the standard GoPro app and not Quik. Quik has not been updated in a long time. You can find more tips to get good GPS results here: https://community.gopro.com/t5/GoPro-Metadata-Visualization-GPS/GoPro-GPS-not-working-Performance-st...

Re: Recorded videos not allowing GPS features such as speedometer or elevation to be added as sticke

Thanks for the reply. I had been using the GoPro app, rather than Quik, so that can be eliminated as a possible reason.

Reading that link you sent, one line is of concern:

My camera always gets bad signal, even in wide open spaces
Some models appear to be more reliable than others (for example, Fusion seems to get very accurate locations whereas Hero 7 can be hit and miss

I'll give it a few more goes and wait for a longer period of time before pressing record, to see if this helps.
