Hello @bikemivie. Does the camera behave in the same way when the original battery is used? Do you observe the same thing when the camera is instead connected to a different power source with the recommended output of 5V, 1-2A? Is the setup using the charging cable that came with the camera?
How was the update done? If not manually, we recommend that a manual update be done to get rid of any possible error with the current installation. The instructions under manual update here will walk you through the process. Let us know how it goes. Thanks!

I did the update manually just now,
the power output is
• USB-C Output: 5V DC, 1.2A (6W)
I have a question did you look at the video I sent?
There is no cable
The issue does not happen when only using the battery from GoPro.
I am using the refuel product.
I am also using a external which outputs at 2A and 5 volts.using a ANKER POWERLINE+ USB 3 C cable.
So no, it did not fix it

Thanks for trying the manual update. Have you tried switching SD cards?
Given that the issue only happens when the camera is connected to the external power source, the issue can be triggered by the third party device.
You may want to try checking with their support team as well.

This is not an isolated issue. It is happening with others there is a 300 post thread. We all can't be experiencing this by chance.
