Quik is naming all folders as 1970-01-01

Please assist. My Hero 7 Black is setup correctly, latest firmware and date, but all file imports with Quik ot my Mac defaults to folder 1970-01-01.  What can I do to address this issue?  I have manually udated the firmware with SD card as some suggest but same 1970 issue on all imports.

 

Please help.

Thank you for going through recommended steps, @bruisernl. The matter has already been reported to the team and we are waiting for an update. Are the dates correct when you check them using other programs

Yeah the dates of each file is actually correct. I have set a folder on my desktop named GoPro Video as my destination folder. When I import it creates multiple folders. The path to a file would end up being:

 

GoPro Videos - 1970-01-01 - HERO7 BLACK 2 - Then my individual mp4 videos.

 

Firts of all, not sure why it creates all these folders. If it did create one folder with the correct import date that would be great, but why it then creates a second folder deep such as the HERO7 BLACK 2 I have no idea on that?

That's really annoyoing.. Same issue on Mac. Some month ago I hadn't such problem

Hi everyone!

We'll keep everyone posted with any update that we get as soon as available.

 

In the meantime, I have some suggestions that might help. If the actual files have the correct dates, see if reinstalling the application will make any difference. Please rename the GoPro folder after uninstalling the software. Then, re-add the media contents to Quik for Desktop.

If the issue persists, try these troubleshooting steps on your Mac computer:

  1. Close Quik for desktop and open a Finder window
  2. Click Go at the top of your desktop menu bar
  3. Hold the alt/option button and select Library
  4. Under Library, select the Application Support folder and delete the following folder:
    • com.GoPro.goproapp.GoProExporterService
  5. Next, under Library, select the Preferences folder and delete the following files:
    • com.gopro.desktop-suite.plist
    • com.gopro.GoPro.plist
    • com.GoPro.goproapp.plist
  6. Restart Quik for desktop.
